before moving forward I want some promises from your side :

1. you' read this article like you paid 10k$ to read this.
2. as it is going to be a long one, so you'll turn off every distraction like FB, Instagram and etc and          read this full article...
3 last but not least, you're going to follow every single steps and practice consistently.

  • and if you have a problem with any of these three commitments. you can leave. its not for you

so, before going onto the topic let me tell you a little about me and how did I discover these steps and processes.

so those of you who don't know me, my name is harsh Vardhan Sharma.
I'm from Bihar and if you have any idea about Bihar then let me tell you this is the most underdeveloped part of India. and people barely speak Hindi here. I know you must be saying how could I speak this better ? yeah its a long story but in short, I learned it to impress my crush because speaking English in Bihar is like you're a topper of India. but it was meant to happen to me and I started reading books and went into entrepreneurship and then, later on, I realized I'm really a good speaker I mean people wish to speak like me and then I sat on reverse engineered it like how did I learn English even with no grammar skills. what did I practice, how did I practiced and I honestly going to tell you all these things here.

and what you are going to learn today is not just my own discovery. its contribution of great spiritual and psychological books like power of habit, unlimited power, the art of learning and many more just to mention a few. so be ready to learn to speak English fluently.

the process of the brain of the native speaker while speaking

how to speak english

now I want you to think about it. how did you learn Hindi ? or your mother tongue language?

really. I mean it. I want you to think about it. did you go to any institute to learn to speak Hindi? of course not! but how did you learned then?
here's how: you've been following a three-step process. let me take you deep down into our brain. it all happens because of basal ganglia or you can say its memory storage.
let me ask you this question, if you know driving you can relate to it, do you drive even now the way you used to drive when you were learning ? or if you're a cook, did you used to slice onion the way you slice now? no! of course not! so, how did it happened? now you don't think twice to take break or accelerator but remember when you were learning did you ever pushed break instead of the clutch and pushed accelerator instead of break. I mean it was so obvious for us. right? does it happen even now? no! and if it does then stop calling yourself an expert driver and go learn it. but here's the thing
as we do a work again and again lets say driving our brain saves the memory in basal ganglia because it is always looking for ways to save effort. and as you practice again and again you brain saves it. for instance now you've practiced taking breaks and accelerators so much time that your brain recognizes when you were taking breaks what was the circumstances you took accelerator and if you'll do same behaviours again and again your brain will record it and saves it into basal ganglia. for instance you're driving your way to your office and at the same time you're talking to someone on phone        ( which you should not) and suddenly a guy comes in front of your car. what would be your reaction? you'll take break without even thinking about it. because as your eyes will send information to your brain and brain will check whether that kind of incidence is saved or not(taking breaks) and the suddenly basal ganglia come into action and automatically you takes the break. thank god the man is saved now! kidding. and your basal ganglia is the reason why our moms are expert in watching serials and cutting onion at the same time as she don't do it her brain automatically do it. and that's why it is said that:

"repetition is the mother of any skill"

but harsh why you are telling me all this? because this how you leaned to speak Hindi or your regional language.
its is said that you need 1200-2000 words to speak any language fluently.

the three step brain goes through while speaking

(native speaker)

 1. you picturise/visualize your feeling.

 2. you understand the picture and try to break it down in               words

 3. you tell it!  or explain it.

look its a fact that our brain thinks in picture and then we break down those picture in words and then we speak those words. this is how you speak in Hindi and foreigners speak in English.

so i told you you don't need grammar to speak at least because what happens is when you speak in your language you think about what ever you want to say and the as i mentioned earlier that you need only 1200-2000 words to speak any language which is by the way science proved it. and when you have words you simply breaks down the pictures in words and explain it. now tell me where is grammar ? no need unless you are in schools and giving exams. and to be hones as you'll grow your basic grammar will automatically be improved its a natural process( basal ganglia works ).

the process of brain of a non-native speakers while speaking

how to speak in english

now  you know that you don't need to learn grammar to speak English. because you didn't need grammar to learn your regional language.
now the most common thing i hear every time is harsh when i try to speak in English i feel blank and i want to speak something and i end up speaking something else. and i cant explain myself in English the why i can in Hindi or my mother tongue. and sometimes i speak very slow, i speak very bad grammar, i speak thew words which don't make any sense. and many more.... does it happens with you too? if yes then you're at right place. I'll tell you why these all things happens hand whats the solution for it. and that's where comes the :

four steps brain goes through while speaking

(non-native speaker)

1.  you picturise/visualize your feelings

2. you understand the picture and try to break it down in                words of your native language(your regional language/Hindi)

3. now you translate your words(Hindi/your regional language)      into English and that why 4th step comes in.

4. you tell it ! or explain it.

does it happen to you ? that you first think the sentence in  your native language or in this case Hindi and then from Hindi you translate it into English and the reason you get stacked or don't speak what you wanted to speak is your words comes though a filter of translation.

how a non-native(Hindi) speaker can change his speaking process like a native speaker

so now you can understand why i was telling you that grammar isn't the problem and why 1200-2000 words is important. to to speak English  like you speak your native language (Hindi) we'll have to do two things here

1. learn 1200-2000 words and learn sentence formation.

2. start thinking in English ( take basal ganglia in use)

so now lets reverse engineer it. why were you struggling? because you didn't had the words and that's why you used to think in Hindi.
as we've talked earlier about basal ganglia that saves our memory and create habits. and that's why fluent speakers think in English because all the words and sentences is already saved in basal ganglia and whenever we want to speak in English pictures come in our mind and we've words and the words related to our picture is already saved in basal ganglia so the moment we visualize something, our brain starts searching for the words in basal ganglia  to breakdown the picture in words and when it found one then it just deliver it.  and this is how you can remove the filter of thinking in Hindi and the translating it and then delivering it.

so the bottom line is you remember the words practice it till it become natural to you or get stored it basal ganglia and when some one will asks you question about that topic your brain will pick the words from your basal ganglia and will deliver it. and that's why a fluent speaker tells you to watch movies and read books so that you can learn sentence formation and by watching again and again it'll get stored in basal ganglia and that's how you can speak without even thinking or that how you can be speak English naturally. that's it!
this is all you need to know about English and now all you need to do is to repeatedly practice and learn 1200-2000 words, well its not that tough as you think. trust me you can do it within 30 days it just seems tough so when ever you read, watch, listen to new words or phrase just grab it in your notebook and try to remember it by telling it out loud in your mind with some example sentence. and try to speak English and Hindi mixed sentences like in movies and web series actors do. it'll increases your confidence and you'll remember your words too fast with this technique. now I'm gonna leave you with some tools and techniques to practice what you've leaned today.

what is life skill trainings show is all about ?

No comments :

about harsh!

hey, guys let me introduce you to my show, life skill trainings - the no.1 show on planet earth for self-improvement and entrepreneurship. in terms of value added to your life not by the popularity of course and that's what something I leave it up to you. I'll make sure that the content is the no.1 content and then it's on you guys to make it a no.1 show in terms of popularity.

what is life skill trainings all about?

before getting into that let me introduce myself to you guys. so, my name is harsh Vardhan Sharma,  I came from a place called Bihar in India which is especially known for illiteracy. the most underdeveloped part of the country. and me? i  feel lucky sometimes because at the age of 13 I started reading books and by the age of 14, I really was fallen in love with the self-help and business books.
but before that, I'm a failure. a big fucking failure. I had a dream to represent my country in cricket. but I failed. and failure paved the way for my success in the business field. let me tell you how I was a great play I even represented my state. but when I started gaining admiration for my game I got carried away, and those negative people became my friends. and their thought influences me to change my game and that results me from being the caption of the team to drop out by the coach.
the lessons I've learned from them. 1.) mind your own business and focus on your game. 2.) keep your head down until you made it. don't get carried away by short term achievements.

when I left playing cricket I actually fallen for a girl, let me tell you the biggest learning from this failure was "sales". which I'll talk about in upcoming videos/blogs. so I had to impress her and in Bihar people could barely read English and then I decided I've got to learn to speak English. then I forced my parents to join a spoken class. ( which was worst decision whole crap waste of money as well as your time) I spent two months to learn English and in between a guy asked her out and i  neither got her nor learned English. and between those two months of learning English I'd borrowed my brothers book " dream with your eyes open" by Ronnie Screwvala  and after she got into relationship with a guy I had nothing to do so I decided to read that book and that was the first time I was introduced with the word " entrepreneurship " and that changed my life i won't lie to you, I barely finished that book but that book was enough to fill me up with curiosity about the topic entrepreneurship. I started watching motivational videos on youtube. and one more thing I couldn't understand anything from that book because that book was in English and I still knew nothing about English. so after watching a 100s of video on entrepreneurship and motivation, I purchased a book from my pocket money " steve jobs biography " and from there on I never looked back by the end of that book I knew one thing cricket wasn't for me. I was born to be an entrepreneur. so my hunger to know about it increases I left studies because I know schools and colleges isn't for me. I started reading more and more books, at the time I used to read a book a day. and finally my parents my bumped up from my behaviors and said either you're going to school again or start earning money. and I was cleared I wasn't going to schools again. so I started looking for an opportunity to earn some money and I came across to one of interview's of Zig Ziglar on youtube and decided I'm going to learn sales. I asked my dad I need some time, he said do whatever you want to do but if you'll not earn money by the end of this year you're going to boarding school. and from last two years, I've been studying sales experts like- Zig Ziglarbrain Tracytom Hopkins ,  Grant Cardone , and many more just to mention a few. I have studied over 10 books on sales and then I started closing high ticket deals on cold calling and now I earn more than enough.

what is good time management? AND how to implement it?

how to use your 24 hours effectively how to change your habits

time management...

who don't want to succeed in his life..??? no one, but why everyone don't get what they want in their life. its really big thing to be concerned... one of the main reason why people don't achieve their goals is not to have a good time management.

what is a good time management?? ask yourself

good time management is always about keeping a balance between your professional and personal life.

well,we're consistently failing to fit into a routine...maybe since our school days. 90% of the population is suffering from this. once warren buffett says in a interview " its not about to be busy all the day.its about to do 24hours workweed in four hours maybe."

Stephen R. covey explained in his one of the most selling book the 7 habits of a highly effective peopleIn  the first habit he explained that first things came first... you have to find your prioritize write it down. start giving quality time to your priorities which will drive you to you goals. you must read that book once in your lifetime.

what we often do is we waste our whole day in random things like scrolling on insta,fb, twitter, linkedin, youtube and many other social media platforms.even we can learn from them. with the first awake in morning we randomly check our phone and after a while what we observe is I've wasted 2 hours and it passes away like 2 minute.

suppose what if such a habit will develop for your goals, your priorities. it will be nothing less than a miracle. the main reason why don't we do what we needed to do is because its boring AF yeah its true, boring activities will drive you to your success.
even when you passion is your profession. you won't enjoy everything. we often go for the name and fame related to our passion. first figure out those boring things which will lead you to success, create short term goals or process goals for your long term success.

Now the problem is we set some goals
If its long term goal so you will be demotivated after a while. so what is that thing that will drive you for 5 years ,10 years to achieve your long term goal???
that is short term goal
all of us want appraisal immediately which you'll get by achieving your short term goals.
if you're from corporates remember when you went for your job interview and your interviewer asked you where you see yourself in nest 5 years or 10 years??? you'd replied I'll be CEO of this company
and now.... you are frustrated from this job you do even want to quit it in 2 years. this is the main problem, if you're ambitious to be a CEO then you can't work keeping in your mind of being a CEO
because this mind set cant let you be in present and focus on your work it'll frustrate you only. yeah, you should a short term goal to be promoted a step by step and  focus on nest step  and you'll be derived there.

this is how it works in life also, decide your daily actions according to your short term goals keeping your long term goals in mind.
so, from tomorrow when you'll awake ask yourself what I'm going to do today which will add up to my short term goal which will eventually add up to long term goal. make a list of Doe's.
you will be distracted sometime its human nature. it's OK to be distracted but make sure you get rid out of it as quick as you can. this will not only help you to to be successful in your life only even in keeping your relationships healthy. if you'll create doe's of the day then you'll realize how much time you have which was unrecognizable or unused  and you can use those time for your family or partner.  for me always the real and good time management is about having a good balance between your personal and professional life. If you'll have clears Doe's for your professional goals then you'll find enough time to spent with your partner or family.
